Let’s Face It, This Was Always Going To End Up On The Blog…

Hullo folks! It has been SOME week and no mistake. As well as the usual day-to-day of working, writing and shambling around town, I’ve been recording my new E.P! I’m looking forward to finishing it off and letting you lovely folks hear it, but more on that later. I also played an…interesting gig on Saturday night, to round off my hectic week, but that too is a story for another time. I have a couple of other things I want to share with you. First of all, I got some lovely photos back this week from a lovely young lady who came along to my gig at Sloans for the Merchant City Festival. There’s one right up top there and here’s another one:

Ok so it’s not actually a picture of me, but HOW HAPPY IS THIS DOG? Almost too happy perhaps…

The other thing I wanted to share with you is the video you’re about to see. It’s from a recent gig at the 13th Note where the Second Hand Marching Band got the whole crowd involved in a big singalong. Folk were invited to write their own verse for the song in advance of the gig and of course, I couldn’t resist. I love SHMB and singing with them and everyone else that night was an absolute pleasure, even if my vocal was a bit dodgy at first :P It was a really special evening and you can see the performance of the song below.

Hope you enjoyed it! I certainly did. You might also have spotted my partner-in-crime Neil Slorance singing along near the back as well. He tells folk he can’t sing, but I heard him: man has pipes.

Til next time folks,

love Shambles x
